HILLCREST 57TH ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF FINE ARTS
Festival: February 24, 25 & 26, 2017
The Hillcrest Festival of Fine Arts will be celebrating its 57th year of showcasing a wide variety of art for sale on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, February 24, 25 & 26, 2017. The three-day festival attracts thousands of art aficionados - young and old - from all over California. Admission and parking are free. Hours are 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Friday and Saturday, and 11:30 am - 5:00 pm Sunday.
The festival committee is proud to announce that the two Featured Artists for 2017 are Gerald Brommer (collage and watercolor) and Jon Oakes (glass and raku).
The festival has an extensive variety of art available for purchase at a wide range of prices. Enjoy watercolor and oil paintings, unique jewelry, ceramics, acrylics, pottery, hand-woven clothing, photography, stained and fused glass, metal and wire sculpture, woodworking, and a great selection of handcrafted gifts in the Arts & Crafts Boutique. There will also be many artists demonstrating their skills throughout the weekend, including weaving, painting, jewelry-making, wood-turning, and ceramics. Each year, many new artists as well as long-time favorites are chosen to participate. There will also be a juried exhibit of high school art, musical entertainment, and The Starving Artist Café.
The festival is held on the beautiful hillside site of Hillcrest Congregational Church, located at 2000 West Road, La Habra Heights, near the border of Whittier. (From East Whittier Blvd., take Santa Gertrudes North, which turns into West Road.)
